Can you move a 220 electrical wire?

We’re thinking about having a built in stove on the other side of the room after we remodel our kitchen. The electrical wire to the current stove is 220. Can you move the 220 electrical wire behind the cabinets- do I have to run them through the studs?
Can you move it from one side of your kitchen to the other without sticking it through the wall?

Technically speaking, the outlet is actually 240 volts, not 220. 220 is an old term that people have learned and is accepted. You can route the wire through the cabinets instead of through the wall, but by code is has to be a special "service" type of wire called "SO cable", which is expensive. Please don’t run Romex through your cabinets if you value your life and home. Your better off fishing the wire through your attic or basement and then into the wall.

You might be able to fish the wiring up through your basement floor to the desired place. Depends on what is behind your wall, the kind of access you have in your basement, your skill, and your patience.

you can hide it under the cabinets . any junction box should be accessible .

if you can pull it out into the basement and route it a new way like angle it to where it needs to go would be best.
